Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder “what now”?

I don’t actually think “Is it just me” but more “What do others do in this similar situation ….”
I was a carer for my husband after he had 2 heart attacks and 2 strokes 7 years ago and sadly he passed away late 2024.

I’m 70, retired, not in great health, but mobile, just slower lol.
I have a new best mate called “Brain-fog” which reduces my confidence on a daily basis. Now looking to invest in the forgotten me – wellbeing, health, interests on good days and learning to be patient on not so good days.
I’m an introvert by default, but work pushed me into the manager everyone came to for support or answers. Well, I retired Dec 2023 and now have no answers. I sometimes feel alone, not a lot to give anymore and wondering “what now”.
How do others deal with the still of the day, when they don’t seem able to, or often don’t want to, throw themselves into finding something to break the silence but want to regain self worth?
I joined substack and created a blog recently and on a good day it helps: on a bad day I wonder if my words are even seen, let along worth reading …..
Not looking for pity or “get out more ideas”, just honest thoughts on how others in a similar position boost mood, feel full-filled and happier with themselves now living a changed life that I, and perhaps others, neither asked for or wanted. x
