Is it just me?

Is it just me who silently starts forming opinions about people after spending too much time with them?
No matter how much I love someone, my mind begins noticing their choices, habits and patterns, then judging things that don’t concern me. The thoughts can feel almost intrusive.I’m constantly trying to create more space for grace and let people live with the imperfections that make us all human. I wish criticism weren’t where my mind automatically went.

Is it just me, or does Substack seem to be the only online place where people are genuinely in awe of the platform?
Everyone seems to have stumbled across it on a whim and stayed for all the right reasons. People constantly talk about how glad they are to have found others like them and how validated it makes them feel. There are plenty of other great apps, but rarely do people marvel at the platform itself in quite the same way.

Is it just me, or does everyone else get so mad when kids’ books rhyme plural with singular?
More and doors; play and days. Like, just take a smidge more time and find an actual way to rhyme those words!

Is it just me, or have people forgotten how to enjoy the beauty around us in everyday life?
Does anyone still get excited like a little kid? Despite everything happening in the world, I still enjoy playing and seeing things with fresh eyes.So many people aren’t present, but that’s where the good things in life are: when you stop, pause and become curious.

Is it just me who finds it weirdly embarrassing to tell their girlfriends about problems in their relationship?
I want to vent, but I don’t want anyone thinking, “Girl, and you’re still there?” I don’t know if I’m missing friendships where I feel safe being honest, or if part of me feels like we’re comparing whose relationship is better. How are you supposed to have real friendships if you’re too embarrassed to talk about what’s actually bothering you?

Is it just me who lives with constant pain from a chronic illness I never asked for?
I was diagnosed with endometriosis as a teenager and have suffered ever since, despite medication, surgeries and even a hysterectomy. I’m left managing the symptoms with painkillers that make me tired and dizzy. It affects every part of my life, and holding on to my sunny disposition is getting harder.

Is it just me, or do I actually want to be engaged? Or am I just upset because everyone around me is married, engaged or has children?
How do I know whether it’s truly the next step I want?
-
Is it just me, or is my boyfriend really not the one for me? Should I listen to everyone around me?
Am I defending the relationship because I truly believe he is my person, or because I’m afraid of starting again?
-
Is it just me who feels ungrateful for being tired of everyone looking to them for stability and help?
I feel constantly overwhelmed and undervalued. I don’t have anyone I can depend on in the way other people seem so willing to depend on me.

Is it just me who sometimes wants to quit their job and buy a small farm by the water?
I enjoy money and having things close by, but I don’t enjoy constantly questioning whether I’m doing a good job or fearing another lay-off. I’m not passionate about my work anymore, I’m tired of my opinions not being taken seriously, and I want more fun.
